Description

Kedarnath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. The temple is located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April and November.

Day 01 (Nagpur- Delhi)

Day 02 (Delhi-Haridwar)

    • Arrive Delhi railway station proceed Haridwar or Rishikesh Local temple, Ashrams, Ghats & afternoon transfer to Rishikesh.
    • Check-in at your hotel in Rishikesh.
    • Half day city tour with evening Ganges Ceremony at Parmarth Niketan.

Day 03 (Rishikesh- Guptkashi (185 kms/ 07hrs. Approx.))

Tour Details

    • After Early breakfast leave for an almost day-long drive to Guptkashi.
    • On the way see the heritage city of Tehri Submerged into the Mighty waters of Holy River Ganges, due to the construction of Tehri Dam (The Hydro Electric Project) reach Guptkashi by late evening.
    • Overnight stay at hotel. (Meal: Breakfast & Dinner)
    • GUPTKASHI: Located in the Northern Himalayan belt within the Mandakini river valley, which has lush green forests. A number of streams and rivulets drain into the main Mandakini River. It has a salubrious climate with its elevation being around 1,319 meters (4,330 ft.) The snow sparkling view of the Chaukhamba peak is a lovely sight to behold in the morning hours from here. The valley has large magnolia trees (locally called Champa) that provide a sweet scented atmosphere to the place.

Day 04 (Guptkashi – Sonprayag - Kedarnath by Trekking)

Tour Details

    • After early breakfast leave by vehicle towards Sonprayag Drop Vehicle at Sonprayag then proceed by local vehicle to Gaurikund at particular Step & then proceed by trek or poni, from where you will trek towards Kedarnath.
    • Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple situated at Kedarnath is highly revered amongst the Hindus. After getting the darshan and doing the puja. Night stay. ( Meal: Breakfast, Dinner At your Own)
    • KEDARNATH TEMPLE: The present temple built in 8th Century A.D. by Adi Guru Shankaracharya lies adjacent to the site of an ancient temple built by Pandavas. The temple has a conical lingam - the main idol, a statue of Nandi - the celestial bull, a 'Garba Grah' for worship, and a man dap for assemblies of pilgrims and visitors. The temple is more than 1000 years old.

Day 05 (Kedarnath – Guptkashi by Trekking- Rudraprayag)

Tour Details

    • In the morning, you will have your breakfast and then, start your trek towards Gaurikund.
    • After reaching there, you will proceed towards Guptkashi.
    • Then same Day Proceed to Srinagar.
    • Arrive Srinagar Check in Hotel Overnight at Hotel.
